The basic idea of the MCMA is to bring together multiple training providers with common objectives – to help develop the skills and professionalism that we all need.

It is designed to foster and bring together a network of similarly motivated professionals.

As a benchmark of quality, it will highlight the skill-sets of professional bicycle mechanics with a variety of training backgrounds.

To promote those aims, it will bring easy access to a variety of manufacturer-led training courses which build into an individual cycle mechanics training and accreditation portfolio, highlighting their skill set, professionalism and their commitment to excellence.

We intend to set up a private forum, initially, for MCMA members only, where acknowledged experts in the field of the posted questions will be able to answer – we are trying to move away from a free-for-all approach where many posted answers to questions on many forums are simply wrong, or don’t answer the question posed.
