Over the last two decades they have both delivered high quality training to new and established mechanics across Europe and more recently Africa and Asia.

Having supported the mechanics and technicians community, including both the students the Bike Inn and of Velotech and the wider mechanics “family”, through informal advice offered forums and via other, more direct means of contact, they have now decided to create a more professional way of providing a continuous professional development (CPD) pathway.

Many cycle mechanics have been trained by providers across the country offering various levels of technical qualification. Some of these courses are directly comparable through accreditation, others self-assessed and audited – then there are the legion of experienced mechanics with little formal training. The Master Cycle Mechanics Association (M.C.M.A.) is set up to support the development of skills for all of these groups.
